**Narration by Daniel Wilson, Father of Gregory**
*"Looking back on the days before we lost Gregory, the signs were there—subtle but chilling. It was November 20th, 2007, when I first sensed something was wrong. Gregory had been distant, quieter than usual. He spoke little about work, something he once loved with all his heart.
By November 22nd, he mentioned that Ava had grown colder toward him. He didn’t go into detail, but I could see the strain in his eyes. That same evening, Elizabeth called me, saying she was worried about Gregory. She’d overheard a tense conversation between Ava and Erick at a café, something about betrayal and Gregory’s site being a waste of time.
On November 24th, Gregory came by the house. He looked exhausted, emotionally drained. I asked him if he was okay, and he simply said, *“It’s a rough patch, Dad. It’ll pass.”* But his voice betrayed him—it didn’t sound like he believed it.
The last time I saw him was November 25th. He seemed distracted, lost in thought. I remember asking him if he wanted to stay the night. He smiled faintly and said, *“I have to make things right.”*
November 26th was the day everything shattered. Gregory was gone. When I heard the news, it was as if the world stopped. Days before, the tension, the warnings, the signs—they all made sense, but by then, it was too late. I couldn’t help but feel helpless, wondering if I should’ve done more, said more, to protect my boy."*
