Hyperfixiations
This is barely gonna draw attention, but whatever
I've been seeing a number of people talk about how hyperfixiations are all 'cute' and 'quirky', but in my experience, not really.
Let's talk about hyperfixiations for a little while. My definition of it is:
"An object, person, or thing that your mind is obsessively fixated on."
It's unhealthy. Insanely unhealthy. See, in my experience, I've had multiple tasks be stopped because I'm fixated on something. It's not cute or quirky. It's invading my mind and I can't do anything about it.
That's another thing. People may think you can just stop fixating over that thing but you CAN'T. I've tried multiple times but it doesn't work at all.
I've tried to post on here more often, but I need to get work done first, but if I keep getting distracted, I can't get anything done, rooting to lesser posts. This is also kind of saying why I've stopped posting.
So before you describe having a hyperfixation is cute or quirky, it's not. It's unhealthy and I wish it didn't happen. Most of the time, at least.
